Without wanting to make too bad a judgment on a different guitar, against the Reid Vaultback, a normal price industry guitar would seems as it were the handicraft of a ten-year old child. Extraordinary, unique, far away from any mainstream and artistically valuable. The Vaultback Halo of DAR is a masterpiece of contemporary lutherie – without ifs and buts. Its unbelievable value as a musical instrument competes with its artistic quality. I am honoured to have been allowed to play a guitar that differs so much from anything known and which leaves such an impression. Considering how rare these creations are, how innovative, refined and special, I want to predict that they will also play a prominent role in the future.

Have Your Guitar Repaired And Collect It The Same Day!

The Brand New Perth Museum

Have your frets done or your rewiring carried out and collect your guitar the same day as you drop it off!
From the 30th of March 2024 onwards, there will be something new and world class to visit in Perth whilst you wait for your frets to be dressed or your rewiring to be done. The brand new Perth Museum, showcasing the Stone of Destiny and the true history of Scotland's monarchs!  I don't have people waiting months for jobs to be completed, I do it on the day of their booking, and offer customers to drop off their instrument in the morning and collect it that same day! You can read all about what you can expect to see in the new Perth Museum in this article in The Scotsman, (link lelow) and find out more from the Perth Museum website by searching for it online. There's also the new Perth Art Gallery to visit, housed in the previous Perth Museum and Art Gallery building, only a short walk away from the new Museum, and then there's also the Black Watch Museum and Castle to visit, displaying the history of the world famous military regiment. Then there's the dozens of fantastic restaurants and cafes of Perth to explore and have a spot of lunch or breakfast until your collection time - having sampled most of them, I'm more than happy to make recommendations!
Fret dresses generally take around 3 hours, as does a full rewiring, so you can drop off at 10am and be trying out your refreshed guitar by 1 pm that same day! You can even leave your car in my driveway and take the relatively short walk into town from my workshop if you can't be bothered with the fuss of finding a parking spot!
I'll look forward to hearing what you thought of your day out in Perth when you return to test out your guitar!
